Frisco Crossing - Mixed Use Real Estate Development

Frisco Crossing - Mixed Use Real Estate Development

You may have heard that a new development is coming to Frisco. It is a mixed-use area, which means that it will incorporate offices, apartments, and retail, across eighty-three acres, just off of Highway 380, near Windsong Ranch. The official name for this development is Frisco Crossing. It is the brainchild of the Rudman Partnership, and is currently planned to have more than twenty retail, restaurants, apartments, and office buildings, in addition to a great deal of open green space with an area where food trucks can park and sell their goods. Rudman is one of the longest standing developers in Frisco, and is also responsible for Frisco Station, on the Tollway.

The development has not yet moved beyond the planning phase, but spokespeople from Rudman say that they plan of starting with the retail buildings first. They are currently talking to retail tenants, meaning that they are looking for stores that want to move to or setup shop in Frisco Crossing. They also reported that there are several companies interested in the residential side of the development. Right now, they plan to have upwards of 750 apartments, across two buildings.

Concept and design work is already in progress, with sketches available from Hodges Architecture. The designs right now show lots of parking, opportunities for big box stores as well as smaller retailers, and several restaurants along the edge of the development. The style of the buildings will be traditional Texas Hill Country. There is currently no information about when building will begin or when portions of Frisco Crossing might be completed and ready for use.

Across the highway, Windsong Ranch, which is technically in Prosper, is planned to have at least three thousand homes, in addition to their own apartment and commercial areas.
