The summers in Southlake can be merciless, just like most of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Or, they can do what most like to do during the heat of summer; indulge themselves in a cold treat. The heat during this time peaks in July and August with average temperatures hitting a high of 96 degrees with the humidity making it feel hotter.  Once the kids go back to school in late August things start to cool down to an average of 88 degrees. During this time, you are least likely to have rain.

And when it is time for holidays, Southlake transforms into a magical time of year with tree lightning, snow hill, carriage rides and all the fun the holidays you can imagine. All year around, you will see events, celebrations and gatherings taking place that is going to make Southlake your home you will never want to leave.  

Day and Night; Fun to Quite

When at Southlake, you can make the most of your Saturday by taking your kids and family over to Bicentennial Park, Bob Jones Nature Center and the Southlake Public Library. However, if you are looking for adult fun at night you will probably venture over to Grapevine or Dallas. Here, if you are looking for entertainment, you can go and watch a movie at Harkins, head over to The Ginger Man to grab a cold one, solve cryptic puzzles at Red Door Escape Room or spend some time at the Dragon Stadium. If music and the club life is your cup of tea, you are lucky because they are just an Uber ride away with Grapevine next door.

The Joy of Dining Out

Southlake has become a food destination. You can drive or walk yourself to the Central Market if you plan on preparing a feast for yourself or snag a table in a handful of restaurants that serve everything from Tex-Mex to gourmet steaks and seafood. The residents of Southlake have plenty of choices when it comes to their venti-extra latte. With Starbucks located at almost every corner, it would be a surprise if someone was not highly caffeinated.

Some fine dining choices include Truluck’s, Del Frisco’s Grille, Calabrese Ristorante, Winewood Grille and Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille. There are of course many options to choose from.
