This can be attributed by a few corporations opening offices in the city and the community of Las Colinas, which has led to a greater number of people moving here. In fact, the town serves as headquarters for quite several multi-national businesses, such as Archon Group, Commercial Metals, ExxonMobil, Kimberly-Clark, to name a few. International businesses like Microsoft, Verizon and Citigroup Inc are some of the major employers with regional offices in the city. Most recently the Westin Irving Convention Center Hotel opened adding to an already booming entertainment scene that is supported by the Toyota Music Factory and Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
